Georgia Florida Weekend

Georgia 42, Florida 30

And, The Puppies First Visit to the Ocean! Auntie Allison and Dagny

The waves were very large, which was kinda scary for the puppies. They did get used to it after a little while but never seemed to want to go any deeper than a few inches.

Dagny and Hank ran away from the waves the first few times they came,

but Dagny decided to stand her ground for this one!Dagny finally got comfortable enough to attack some waves a little, but I think it was a bit too daunting of a task because she didn’t do it for long (amazingly!)

Camping

Two weeks ago, the puppies and I went camping at Watson Mill Bridge State Park with some friends from UGA.

My Tent and the Puppies’ Kennel
The puppies protected our camp from “intruders” during the night:
From our tents, we would hear a rustle in the bushes follow by a low (and quite intimating) growl coming from the puppies’ kennel (it was Dagny, by the way), and then the rustling would stop.
Lounging in the Sun
This is Puga, the puppies' canine companion for the week
There was a river (aka stream because of the drought) down from camp that the puppies discovered within about 10 minutes of arriving at the site. We were setting up the tents as it was rapidly getting dark and suddenly heard splashing coming from down below. Dagny and Hank had found the water, and I could not keep them out of it the rest of the weekend.

Shake! Shake! Shake!

We went to play on the rocks by the Watson Mill Bridge. Lots of the fun for all!
They love the water!

I had two very very sleepy puppies after 2 long days of nonstop playing

La Casa de Rhamey

For those of you who haven't been able to come and visit us yet, here are some pix of the wonderful house that we rent here in Athens:

Our Front Door
The Entry Way

The Living Room

The Dining Room

(We tried to have the puppies pose with the long awaited chairs, but because Hank - aka the spot in the lower left corner - was not great at the "staying" part of picture taking, Dagny would get kinda upset because she doesn't like yelling and scolding, even if we aren't scolding her, and looks kinda pathetic in a lot of the pictures. Poor baby!) Our Bedroom

The Second Bedroom

The Bathroom

The Office

The Kitchen

The Laundry Room (aka the Puppies' Room)

The Back Door (which Georgians apparently think is the front door)

Sliding on the Rocks

Kristen, Annie, (the puppies), and I had fun sliding on the rocks when we went camping last weekend. The puppies didn't really slide (because that is a silly thing to do), but they always made sure we were okay at the bottom.

Playing With Hank

Here are Patrick and Hank playing a new game. But, being such a smart puppy, the game didn’t last for long. Hank figured out what was going on . . .
