Visit From Our Best Good Friend

Today our best (ok, only) friend Nicolas stopped by for a visit. He is about three weeks younger than Trey. They were pretty suspicious of each other at first and just wanted to stare at each other. Nicolas got over the "there is another baby here" thing relatively fast . . . relative to Trey who never really seemed okay with this other baby sitting on his rug and chewing on his blanket.

Peas!

Today was a big day: We ate peas for the very first time!

I used my super kewl Beaba Babycook to cook our little man his first organic sweet pea puree.

And, the peas tasted awesome (like seriously good) - nothing like out of the jar baby food.

He LOVED them!

It looks like P is holding him from behind, but he's not! Trey is balancing all on his own! He did it for a few seconds and then took a break, and then did it again with a "wow!" look on his face, obviously very proud of himself. What a big boy!

A Growing Boy!

Trey's a growing boy!

So, I went through his clothes to see what fits and what does not (he thought this was an awesome activity for the first three (exactly three) outfits . . .

Well, no more "newborn" - other than the Georgia onesie.* But, we can still get into some 0-3 months clothes (if they are stretchy):

Meanwhile, we can also fit into 9 month clothes (and 6-12 month clothes).

They are a little roomy . . . but try again tomorrow.

*Georgia = a place where newborns are 15 pounds and one year olds are the size of border collies

Oatmeal

After four days of rice cereal, we moved onto Oatmeal!

We are still a little small for our high chair . . .

but, Trey doesn't seem to care.

Baby, It's Cold Outside! Let's have some Rice Cereal and Wait for the Sun.

Yeah! Winter is here!

Which means, it is sometimes a tiny bit cold for a few hours in the morning and at night . . .

Good thing our Lala took up shopping and got some warm duds.

And we thought he couldn't get any cuter!

But, he did!

And, he knows it too!

Now that we are five months old (plus), we decided it was time to start out with some food!

This is our first taste of Rice Cereal.

This is our third bite. Yeah, we already have it down. I think he figured out this whole "eating" thing a while ago.

Granny K's Bear

Lala and Pops came to visit the Trey man.

They brought with them "Granny K's" first stuffed animal, a bear from when she was a baby.

Trey LOVED him!

A huge surprise since he is so hard to please . . .

. . . ok, not really, but he did love it.
