There are three babies born this summer, and this was the first day the Daddy lion was allowed to be around the babies. The babies thought it was lots of fun to harass Daddy, but he didn't, so Mama had to step in and lay down the law.

Visit From Our Best Good Friend

Today our best (ok, only) friend Nicolas stopped by for a visit. He is about three weeks younger than Trey. They were pretty suspicious of each other at first and just wanted to stare at each other. Nicolas got over the "there is another baby here" thing relatively fast . . . relative to Trey who never really seemed okay with this other baby sitting on his rug and chewing on his blanket.

I used my super kewl Beaba Babycook to cook our little man his first organic sweet pea puree.

And, the peas tasted awesome (like seriously good) - nothing like out of the jar baby food.

So, I went through his clothes to see what fits and what does not (he thought this was an awesome activity for the first three (exactly three) outfits . . .

Well, no more "newborn" - other than the Georgia onesie.* But, we can still get into some 0-3 months clothes (if they are stretchy):

Meanwhile, we can also fit into 9 month clothes (and 6-12 month clothes).

They are a little roomy . . . but try again tomorrow.

*Georgia = a place where newborns are 15 pounds and one year olds are the size of border collies

We are still a little small for our high chair . . .

Which means, it is sometimes a tiny bit cold for a few hours in the morning and at night . . .

Good thing our Lala took up shopping and got some warm duds.

Now that we are five months old (plus), we decided it was time to start out with some food!

We went trick-or-treating at Tio Eric and Alyssa's House,

but we were still in a very bad mood.

Trey did not want to take pictures, even once we decided maybe he was too hot and shed most of the costume. Maybe one day we can take the Dagny and Hank with their first sheepie pic, but that day was not tonight.

We were very, very NOT into this.

And, YES, he can see some of the animals. We've seen lions, bears, elephants, giraffes, monkeys (they are big time), anteaters, turtles (also BIG time), anteaters, and otters. And, lots of plants . . . gotta love the plants.

Although, he is a little more interested in his feet than most of them.

Today Trey is 19 days old and rolled over (front to back) all by himself! We have a video that I'll post when I figure out how; I just happened to be filming him doing his "push-ups," and he decided "No more Tummy Time for me!"

We all had a big time on our new, soft rug watching Baby look at toys,

just generally be goofy,
